1 Corinthians 12:3 states: And no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the holy Spirit.

This belief is proclaimed at every Mass in the Nicene Creed (from 325 A.D.) when all Catholics say:

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God.

How could over a billion Catholics proclaim "Jesus is Lord" if God was not "with" the Church?

With love in Christ.

I don't think its our job to judge anyone, but esspecially a whole church, do you? God does a great job judging the churches, so lets let Him do the judging - and He actually has done just that:
Go to the Book of Revelation. In the beginning of that Book, you will find God sending messages to seven churches, all located in a circle, and in Biblical terms what that means is - 7 is the Biblical number for completeness; and they are in a circle geographically, which basically means these messages are concerning all the worlds churches, completely.
Out of the seven churches described, only two find Gods approval. And these two churches both taught the exact same message to their congregation. Go to those two churches in Revelation. The first you will find in 2:9 - the other at 3:9;
If your church does not teach what these two churches taught, then you are in a church that is NOT APPROVED by God.
Its just that simple.

God picks no favorites. He already knows what the outcome is going to be so he's not placing any bets.

I do find it interesting that the christian/protestants Use the same scriptures that came from the catholic bible. Left out a couple of statues and a sacrament or two and now see themselves as the one true and only.

Its funny if you think about it.

Love and blessings Don

Hmm, Catholic Church = 2000 years old. Protestant movement = 450 years old. This isn't as hard as the "chicken or the egg" question :D
