I have about 5 hours into mine, and a long way to go. But, I am in no hurry. It can be done quickly though. I saw a guy get an entire back piece in one sitting. He won an award the next day too. Then he fainted and busted his head open. Just don't over work your artist. It could make him (or her) shaky and careless, You know.

I suppose it depends on how much detail is involved and at what speed the artist works, the size of your arm. Its not all done at once, the outlines are done first, then coloring and shading. Usually you let the tattoo heal before going for another session. So it can take over a period of a month or more to complete.

It will probably take several sessions to get it done and most likely for a good sleeve, 10++ hours

That really depends on the tattoo itself, such as detail and coloring...and on the tattoo artist, and on the size of the tattoo (or your arm)
My hubby had two full sleeves done and he had over 30 hours into it. His tattoo was kind of intricate, and he has really big arms...the tattoo artist at first thought that he'd have it all done within 10 hours, but that didn't happen.

it depends on the detail, the size of your arm, and how quickly your artist works. roughly 10-30 hours, as a general rule.

fwiw, i'm getting a half sleeve, and it's going to take probably 8-12 hours once it's all finished.

It's a long process- Most of the time you have to go back after the initial one heals. You can spend 100s of hours depending on the details

2 or 3 days

it all depends on how much detail goes into the tattoo. the more detail the more time. if i had to make a rough guess i would say 15 hours, but like i said it all depends on the detail. if you had a solid color sleeve... not that long but if you had tiny details it could take much longer.

You'd probably want to do this by days, not hours. Maybe 6 hours total, I would say depending on the detail and coloring.

depending on the detail.. but they dont do a whole sleeve at one time.. they do only outlining and then detail.. then shading and finishing touches. each one has a period of maybe 1 week to 3 weeks between.

there's a lot of factors that could go into this answer... for example... the size of your arm, the amount of detail in the tatoo, the speed of the artist working on the tattoo, the amount of time you can sit in one session... and so on. it is nearly impossible to accurately estimate a time frame without more information.
