would 1 15 in kicker l7 sub be louder and put out more bass than 2 12 in kicker l7's? with the proper amps..

2x12 much better, but i would go with pioneer subs. i have one and it rules!

Man, really with 1500 watts and the right setup, 2 12's would probly be the way to go. But you also say sound quality is not that important so the 15 might be better for you. The 12's will have better sound and still hit like a mutha, but the 15 wont sound quite as good but it will move more air.

If you are just looking for extremely low end go for the 1x15. If you want to have good bass response across the board go with the 2X12.
Most importantly make sure you match impedance between the speakers and the amp - otherwise neither option will sound good (and can damage your equipment).

2 12" would both be louder and sound better. however, neither Kicker subwoofer option is a good one. Kicker just doesnt make good subs.

two is better than one, if the 15 has more watts than the 2 12's then yeah it would be better, i myself have 2 boss ripper upgrade 15' subs that really hits in a itty bitty neon, i love it 2800 watts is a hell of a lot, with a 4000 watt legacy amp its amazing, u can feel every hair on ur body move... u should try it, o and watch ur ears it hurts

I would go 2 12's but if you have the space 2 15's rock hard. But in a car you gotta push them or they lag a little bit... And really there isn't much price difference in 12 and 15's... Hit me up if you want some prices

2 12's will be better. 15's will pick up deeper bass but you will get better and louder bass from the 12's

the 2 12s will hit much harder and will sound louder, however the 15 incher will give more solid sound on the deep low notes

one JL 13W7 will blow away both of the Kickers!

You will be more versatile with 2x12.
