People claim it takes millions of years to evolve, but humans and monkeys have been born and a constant rate. So my question to you is, why are there no half-human half-monkeys walking around right now?

Still no good answer. How come we don't see being of all evolution? Half man half apes? We were both being born and a constant rate for millions of years. Or how come if monkeys evolved there are still monkeys today? Gotcha.

Because we didn't evolve from monkeys. Adam and Eve were human beings created in the image of God. Gorillas, apes, monkeys..etc. were not created in the image of God. Only man was.

Although I don't necessarily agree that man evolved from a primate like ancestor, the argument used is not very good.

Consider this: Imagine a tree that has separated into two large branches near the base of the trunk. These branches each grow upward forming a tall, strong tree.

Now suppose you are at the top of one branch and someone, pointing to the other, suggests it comes from the same trunk as yours and that the two branches even share the same roots.

"That's impossible!" you resond, "If they do, then why isn't there a branch in between us?!"

The answer of course is irrelevant to whether or not the branches share the same trunk and roots. There are many possible reasons why there is no middle branch, (perhaps it was cut, perhaps it started to grow and never survived, etc.) but stating the obvious "its not there" in no way suggests that the two branches never converge to a similar source.

Asking why there are no half-man, half-ape beings today is like asking why there is no middle branch on the tree. There are many possible reasons why there is no middle species (indeed some say there are), but for the sake of the argument, it does not suggest that humans and primates could not share a common ancestor.

Perhaps if you could change your current perspective and view the whole tree, you might reconsider your opinion.

I heard/saw recently that humans and monkeys are separate species that evolved from the same ancestor.
Science is coming up with new and different theories so it's changing (i.e.-evolving) but it had to when it was discovered that the world is not flat and it revolves around the sun. When that info was 'new' did it make the stories in the Bible any more real, since they had been around longer and unchanging? Look at the Old Testament compared to today. Things have definitely changed so it's not at all reliable, like science. Right?
Besides, if you don't partially believe in evolution, what's your explanation for all the different races?

We did not evolve from monkeys. Apes (including humans) and monkeys evolved, along different pathways, from a common ancestor. The human line consists of humans. There are several two chimp species, several gorilla and orangutan species. They are all certainly more human like-than monkeys. If the chimps were more or less human-like, they would still be a differents species.

"Several different forms evolved, with only one ultimately generating modern humans. But at one time, perhaps between five and two million years ago, there were numerous creatures that had some man-like creatures. But they proved less well-adapted to environmental change – or unable to change quickly enough – and died out as they were squeezed by the expanding numbers of our direct ancestors. The last not-quite-modern-humans to go were the Neanderthals, who disappeared about 28,000 years ago. Since then we've been the sole occupants of the genus homo, showing the very essence of natural selection by our extreme environmental adaptability that out-competed our fellow hominids.
At last, on to the "half man-half ape." To begin with, it's one of the oldest (deliberate) misconceptions about evolution to say that it declares humans "evolved from apes," as though a modern chimpanzee gave birth to a proto-human. Not so; apes and humans, adapting to their respective environments and so moving ever further apart, diverged from common ancestors that changed over thousands of years to fit their changing environments."

We are the half-monkey creatures you seek. We have just evolved in such a way as to allow us to adapt successfully to the environment.

Alright, since you seem to need some special education, this is why you don't see mixtures of chimpanzees & human beings.

Evolution occurs as a result of random mutations that are selected for reproduction because the mutation makes the creatures who have it better equipped to deal with changes in the environment. Their better adaptation renders them longer lived and more prolific.

At some point in the past, Chimps and Humans had a common ancestor. Random mutations led to at least two adaptations that were able to deal with the environments they found themselve in. One branch of this tree eventually led to Chimpanzees. The second branch eventually led to Humans.

The reason that there are no longer other variations is that they were not able to cope with environmental changes. This was the fate of Neanderthals, which represented a branch of the evolutionary tree that died off.

There are. They are called chimpanzees. We share about 95% of their DNA. They are just a tad stronger than we are. The other great apes are much bigger and much stronger than we are. The lesser apes are much smaller and weaker. Chimps are just a bit less intelligent than we are, compared to other primates or other mammals. Some of them use tools.

We split off from them about 1.5 to 3 million years ago.

Wow that's a good question!

The answers range from "God did it" to "Aliens performed genetic experiment on primates, producing humans."

What makes this mystery even more interesting is that the Bible says that "God said to the sons of God, let us make man in our own immage." Notice the plural. If Adam wasn't created yet, who were these sons of God?
The wise book of my religion explains: "The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao." In other words: "Nobody knows."

There is a sacred mystery that answers the question: "universe?"

Because humans and monkeys evolved separately.

First of all, asking in the science section might get you better results.

Secondly, read a high school biology book. It will give you all the answers you're looking for in simple language that even you can understand.

Because the skulls that look like a monkey that have been dug up are monkeys.
One would think that if evolution were true, that it would have to be an on-going affair - so that you could look out your window and see beings of all stages of evolution. But you don't see that.
I am not a creationist, as I've heard of on this forum, however.
The Bible DOES NOT state that this earth is 6000 years old.
It states that this earth is millions upon millions of years old, and that there was even an earth age before this one we live in now.
There is absolutely no controversy between true science and the truth of Gods Word. Just a bunch of folks on both sides of the issue who are unlearned.
