What is the longest time you have been celibate? If it was for religious reasons did you learn anything? did you just do it for mental or physical health?, or has it been a bad run of luck??
Anyone?

I am celibate, and I have been since my divorce 2 years ago. The reasons are several.
1. While single, my body belongs to Christ.

2. Under the non-religious view: When you have sex with someone, you leave a part of you with that person, and I am not going to leave any part of me with anyone unless I am under the marriage covenant.

I am not going to commit that way unless I know the relationship is solid, secure and bonding. There's never a guarantee that will be, but marriage is the closest thing to the guarantee as we can get.

definite, i have been celibate for decades, now. My reason is that i'm no longer prepared to be intimate with all of us that i do not understand okay, and have self belief implicitly, and that i see no reason to harass getting to understand someone who's below my appropriate woman, who has proved to be very not person-friendly to locate. i have actual executed the maths, and apparently that there are purely 2 women folk interior the international who i'd evaluate appropriate, and that i do no longer understand at each and each of the position they'd be. For all that i understand, one will be in Sri Lanka, and the different in Tanzania. Or in Columbus, Ohio; i actually haven't any way of understanding with out looking the globe, and that i lack the ability to attempt this. for sure, associates and family members tell me that I ought to diminish my expectancies, yet i keep in mind that i won't be able to be content fabric with a lady who doesn't meet all of my expectancies, so lowering them doesn't help. i understand it sounds a touch nuts, yet so be it.

I have been celibate, or UNMARRIED, for all my life.

If you are asking about how long I have been CHASTE, or refraining from sex, there was about a 3-year period when I was seriously ill, and it was the furthest thing from my mind.
Recently? About a month.

I consider myself celibate now solely because I do not want a lover anymore, and I don't like promiscuity.
