As an atheist, music is the most spiritual thing I do. And I do from Mozart to Mosh Pits. All styles, tho I find post-metal hardcore best for celebrating and classical better for contemplating :)

New Age is very spiritual to me. One of my favorite artists of all time is Enigma. Such music is great in meditation, and I find it to generate subconscious thought patterns that would normally not be created.
When it comes to performing, I am very experimental. I do tie in some New Age with experimental, noise music, and goth (such as Delerium and Dead Can Dance). It is a great release that feels "inspired" by an outside entity. When it comes to spiritual matters, description is very difficult, as most spiritual interactions are feelings experienced by the individual.

Music is my easiest form of expression in my spiritual life. Gifted by God with a soloist's voice I find myself singing alone or around others - expressing my relationship with, love for, and sorrows to God. When I sing I feel more closely connected to the language of God. I can just see Him singing, not just speaking the heavens and the earth into creation. I enjoy being the expressive one in performance, but also feel a spiritual connection to God when the emotion of another is being sung to God.

I enter the gates through thanksgiving and praise.
Music is very important to a believer. Sometimes it is a mass choir, sometimes the simple singing of my spirit.
The Lord teaches me in praise, many times.
I am refreshed and renewed. Depression and other emotions can't stay in when you are filled with praise and worship.
Think of King Saul and David.

Music plays a huge role! Worship music can bring me into the presence of God quicker than any other form. I can offer my own worship to the Lord through music easier than most any other form.

I'm a Christian, but i've never really liked gospel music.
To be honest, I like rock n roll, and R&B also, which I quess stems from the gospel music of old.

It plays a huge part - anyone who says they listened to jimi hendrix and didn't have a semi-religious experience is just lying.

i do no longer think of christianity or the way of existence of christianity deifies "adult males". As grow to be defined by way of yet another individual, in answer to this question, God makes use of male terminology because of the fact of pop-like traits. while God created Adam and Eve He created them diverse adequate to be interesting to a minimum of one yet another and to convey the different excitement (on all stages). He additionally created them alike adequate to have communion, and companionship. ladies and men are diverse with diverse strengths and weaknesses, and play diverse roles, yet neither one is extra "holy" than the different. the region of the female contained in the Divine Spirit is to convey splendor. adult males convey capability by way of secure practices and provision; by way of "conquering". females convey capability by way of gentleness, being concerned, and ask your self. One compliments the different.
