Prat!! English was spoken in England centuries before your Jefferson and Washington were even born.The Americans then were speaking Apache,Sioux or Cheyenne.

English was not invented by any English speaking nation of the world but rather created by the merchants from Germany, Italy, france and other trading nations of Europe as an easy means to communicate.

Actually modern English is a mix of Saxon, Latin, French, German, Gaelic, Greek and other languages. That's why the spelling is so damn complicated and irregular. It's also why we have such a versatile language.

Its a pity we didnt leave the indians and buffaloes to mate. Perhaps then we would a higher level of inteligence in the cess pit of the world that we commonly refer to as the USA. Also the language wasnt "invented" it evolved. Americans.....You have to laugh dont you.

Try this experiment. Go out to the boonies in Scottland. Technically, they speak English and you speak English. BUT - see if you have any idea if you know what they're talking about. Good luck.
