I know atheists don't generally believe in the religious descriptions of these things but do you find them entertaining?

Did you ever complain while watching Spaceghost? The Green Goblin and Hobgoblin were two of the best characters in Spiderman and the Silver Surfer was the herald of Galactus, a godlike being.

Is the existence of such creatures beneficial for humanity if not for their moral and entertainment value?

Yes but just because fiction makes you feel good or entertained doesn't make it true.

Omnipotence is impossible. As a pagan I blieve in ghosts and spirits; probably more than most Christians.

Fictional characters such as Spaceghost ect are strictly for entertainment and they are amusing. I liked Spaceghost Coast to Coast when it was on and I like Comic books as well.

Are they beneficial for humanity? Hey any escape from the monotony of everyday life is a benefit. Entertainment for its own sake is not a bad thing.

I think they're kinda entertaining. I do get irked at people who think that reality is drab and dull, though, and use that as their reason for keeping these supernatural fantasies as adults.

The real world is _extremely_ interesting, if you pay real attention to it. In the past two years I've flown aerobatic sailplanes off the north coast of Oahu, visited Tokyo and Kyoto and a wild resort on a volcano between them, taken trains around Europe, built and flown large and technical rockets, explored woods on my bike and rivers in canoes and kayaks. Oh, and played baseball on the Field of Dreams. Why the heck would I want to spend my time pretending to believe in supernatural stuff? It's just not that interesting. I do like comics, but not as much as really doing things.

Well, I agree to a point, I go to see Superman and things like that in the movies, Spiderman, etc. for the entertainment, not for the moral lessons.

But yes, these comic book mythologies are awesome.

I like watching all that stuff I think that ghosts and spirits as an idea can be entertaining. I also listen to ave maria because I find it entertaining- I think that something religious can still be enjoyable even if I think it's all crap.

Entertainment value - yes. Moral value - sometimes. As a measure to live your life - no.

I enjoyed Alanis Morisette as God in Dogma. If she spoke her voice was so "powerful" that it would kill a mere mortal. I thought that was funny (she's a singer, and an annoying one).

Only God is omnipotent.

Space Ghost like to blast Zorak with his wrist band ray, but he was kind of eccentric.
