where the rich man ate well and never hungered a day in his life and poor Lazarus was laid at his gate just wanting to eat the scraps off his dinner plate. Now the rich man ended up in hell and Lazarus in Abraham's bosom (the Jewish meaning for heaven). At the end of the story the rich man asks Abraham to send Lazarus to his father's home becase he has 5 brothers to warn them about this place of torment so that they will not end up there as well when they die. "But Abraham said 'The Scriptures have warned them again and again. Your brothers can read them any time they want to.'
The rich man replied, 'No, Father Abraham, they won't bother to read them. But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will turn from their sins.' "But Abraham said,'If they won't listen to Moses and the prophets, they won't listen even though someone rises from the dead.'"
Jesus rose from the dead and many still didn't believe in him. and many will never bother to read the Bible.

that is another tenet to be ignored.

it doesn't justify hate against gays or blacks or muslims, so we ignore that tenet, it doesn't apply -- back to reading Romans and how gay people are evil. forget this other stuff!! unless it suits the christian hate agenda.

Yahoo! Answers is an open forum, and it is not your personal venue to evangelize. You are not preaching to your flock of mindless drones.
