cocaine users lose weight, but don't necessarily become skinny. i think it depends on the user's initial BMI, metabolism, and appetite. i used to be hardcore into coke, lost a lot of weight, and became incredibly thin. one of the reasons i used it was for weight loss. if i would get hungry, i would do another line to suppress the hunger. on the other hand, my friend who was using with me was very large and although she lost maybe 20 pounds or so, she was still overweight. she loved food and although she ate less, when she ate, she ate! =)

cocaine, as with all stimulant drugs, is naturally an appetite suppressant.

Long term users of cocaine lose significant amounts of weight due to continual surges of adrenaline and amped metabolism. Any drug that's an appetite suppressant will cause the user to lose weight until the use of the drug is discontinued.

theoretically they won't eat as much, however, most cocaine addicts lose a lot of weight because they spend all of their money on cocaine therefore they don't have money for food.typically when one is suffering a cocaine hangover they crave fattening/feel good food...so unless they are perpetually high they shouldn't lose too much weight...you did say addict however so it is safe to assume the person in question is perpetually high so,yes they would ultimately waste away.

Not always. I know coke addicts that are quite fat. The effects of coke will vary from person to person. Some suffer extreme tooth decay, many suffer from erosion of the nasal passages. Mood swings are common, and coke addicts tend to get very upset and agitated about things that go wrong in their lives. Their habit can cost a fortune to maintain. Most addicts will steal the shirt off your back if they could get a fix for it. They are usually very deceitful and use a mountain of excuses to explain themselves.

Yes it is a stimulant and an appetite depressant. You have 2 factors going towards weight loss. The super bad thing besides becoming addicted and selling your belongings to get it is that it can damage your heart, etc.
Can cause tachycardia, arrythmias, all BAD things for your heart.

Most cocaine addicts and junkies are malnourished for lack of care, others may eat even though they're not hungry.

My friend starting dating this looser chick who was a cocaine addict and before you know it (my friend was bigger) he was getting really skinny. He tried lying to us that he was working out which we all knew was a complete lie.....now he has stopped dating her and the weight came back on.

Ridiculously Skinny!! But I wouldn't use this as a diet. You can KILL yourself. A cocaine induced heart attack in very common.

Even without it being an appitite suppressant many are skinny as they spend their money on drugs instead of food. They also are not concerned with when they ate their last meal nor what they ate either. Drug addicts also don't always have a regular place to stay so they don't have access to food at meal times.
