It shouldnt be a problem to get one, the question is, what will your intrest rate be.... Capital One is a good starter card, I think I got my first credit card when I was 16 or 17. More than likely your limit will be very low too since you wont have much credit built up. As far as bank accounts go, they offer free checking almost anywhere- you have to have a permanent address though.... good luck!

i speak from experience and from others i know, please securer your future on credit cards STAY AWAY FROM CAPITAL ONE.you will be much better off with only a checking account with your local bank.then you will get a debit card they are great you cant spend what you don't have and you will save money.you can do the math it will cost you to own, use, and that's not counting the way way high pass due charges they have if you are ever late with a credit card.a checking acc.usually cost you about 6 to 10 dollars a month depends were you live i guess.so if your not filthy rich a credit card will be a night mare.

That depends on a lot of factors:
Do you have a job?
Do you have a lease or rental agreement?
Are you a student?

You can always apply for a card. It's just that some have more strict guidelines for who they will give a card to. You might try going through a credit union or student organization.
