Your statements about the dogs...I think many people don't want to get involved (with anything in trouble).... people do that to people all the time.... walking past homeless and hungry souls in the street. Someone in trouble? 'Quick turn a blind eye, someone else will take care of them, it isn't my problem'...
I feel uninvolvement could be the motivation for not helping out.
You are right, there is a HUGE lack of respect for wildlife! I think it's because of the mentality that those animals don't directly affect the person so why would that person care?? Thankfully, everyone is NOT like that!
Education and experience is necessary.
People who do treat animals poorly have gone through life uneducated about other creatures... either school neglected to have the opportunity for these lessons or from parents who don't respect or care about animals.
Children need to experience either having a pet or seeing how precious wildlife and domestic animals are... Programs I've seen and arcticles I've read show strong evidence that kids who grow up around animals are more sensitive to others (any life form really).
So that's what I think should be done... education, exposure and experience.
Schools could have class pets...like hamsters or fish or turtles or some other animal with the appropriate housing.
Class trips to a local petting zoo or perhaps a farm.
Have guests speakers bring in animals and talk to kids about them.
Parents should try to manage having at least one pet that the family can take care of for the lifetime of the animal... research should be done before getting anything and money should be saved for food, shelter and vet bills.
It would help too if parents could open their eyes too to how great and facinating animals are... just the fact we can interact with other species in a mutually friendly relationship still amazes me... there's communication, love and devotion. Isn't that neat?
Those are a few of my thoughts....

that's a warm debate among communities debating origins of society. Ther is a controversy that in the course of a few carniverous species you dont see canibalism so there's no reason to anticipate it among people. There are specific non secular reasons - Very early jewish texts forbid it at around 2000BC and this infers that specific different as yet unidentified cultures have been behaving in a canibalistic way. all of us be responsive to this grew to become into not the egyptians however the Hittites and different communities that worshiped Baal could have executed as all of us be responsive to they had human sacrifice. so as that covers maximum of europe north africa and the classic close to east. specific tribes in different aspects have been ritually canibalistic as much as numerous hundred years in the past and a few are concept to be now. on the turn facet the folk who arrived earlier the celts in scotland have been concept to be canibals with the help of a few yet this could have basically been prejudice the comparable way some African tribes have been reported to be cannibals to denigrate them whilst in fact it grew to become into not the case.

It's true...animals deserve as much respect as humans. I think that progress is being made, though. For example, there are now laws against animal cruelty. However, I think that people should just think about how much animals have impacted their lives and helped them. Also, a different method of land development should be used that wouldn't harm as many animals.

Ignorant means "don't know". I think people know all they need to know about animals. So they are not ignorant, they just don't care. So your question is really one of wondering why people don't care more about animals. Well, different people care about different things, and you just happen to care about animals more than most other people. That is the way of the world. Not everyone will care about the same things that you do.

Basically there are 2 types of people - those that love animals & those that hate them. it starts in the schools & at home. Kids have to be taught early & often to respect all life.

Human beings are supposed to have a sixth sense and they are supposed to be superior to animals. This has only made them so insensitive that they think they have an exclusive right to live and that 'might is right'.
we cannot change the world-- it is for each individual to realise it and change.
