Love, Friendship, trust and respect. Those are the four major things. As long as you have those 4 I think you can work through anything.

My expectations are to love like I am the only one. Be honest like your life depends on it (because a life with me does depend on being honest). Life being a journey, and something that together he wants to share with me. Material things don't mean much--have you ever seen a herse pulling a u-haul--I want someone who wants to make great times, great love and great memories. Laughing more than arguing, but an argument for great make-up sex is ok too!!! It is all in the perspective of the person wanting a relationship--some want the white picket fence, 2.5 kids and a dog named barney--it is all depending on what YOU want from life. You get that through living life, making mistakes and learning lessons.

I think if you are talking about a "romantic" relationship, they should be friends. Best friends. This includes mutual respect, trust and communication.

-Respect (that is the highest priority)
-Value my mates opinion but know how to state it
-Someone who has my back.
-Someone who compliments me, not someone who makes me whole.
