My wife got a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player in her 2004 Ford Focus - it plays regular CD's and even burned CD's (as long as I keep the burn speed down), but whenever I try to burn a CD of MP3's it won't play. I already know how to burn CD's, so don't waste time telling me how to go about that - but if you have a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player and have been able to get an MP3 CD to work let me know how you did it.
Thanks!!

This CD player doesn't appear to have a jack for plugging in an MP3 player. I believe it is supposed to be capable of playing MP3's on a CD (it has buttons for 'am/fm, CD, and MP3') When I put an MP3 CD in, it appears to recognize it, and starts counting, but no sound ever comes out. I try the CD in my (living room) DVD player and the MP3's play fine.
I don't think it is damaged, since it has been like this since day one, but I will take the suggestion of asking the Ford dealership. I have just always been under the impression that there was some special format it needed in order to recognize the MP3's. Blaupunkts web site is no help, and every place I have found while searching is just talking about how great it is, and nothing about how to do it, or problems with it.

Okay, everyone seems to be convinced that you should be able to plug an MP3 player into the Blaupunkt deck.
The question then becomes - where would the jack be? I don't see one anywhere.
I still think that it's the wrong answer for one reason - every place I have looked they talk about it playing MP3 CD's (besides the fact that it doesn't appear to have a jack for an external player). Again, It attempts to play the MP3 CD, the counter runs, but no sound.
