I see these types of questions ALL the time and what kills me is the total lack of responsibility of the person asking the question. Did you ever think that, maybe, just maybe, you're attracted to controlling people? If you keep dating guys and they all want to control and dominate you, maybe YOU should change the type of guys you date. Wouldn't that be an easier answer than trying to change the guy's nature? The old saying rings true here - the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results

Testosterone. No kidding. The research shows that guys who submit, be they chimpanzees or humans, have lower testosterone levels than the ones that fight and win. And, I suppose, those that fight and lose, too, but they don't count as much in the gene pool.
Mother Nature makes her choices, and controlling males and nurturing females worked for centuries. That it is somewhat different now (though not entirely) is not something you can "explain" to your instincts. What we need, instead, is to use our fore-brains to inform those hind-brain instincts, and survive even more effectively. Smart men and women working together as a team, each sharing what they do best with their family, is the most effective pattern Mother Nature has ever devised.
If a man needs to be in control, a woman needs to be his smart, strong second in command, to where he can completely trust her advice, her input into decisions, her judgment when he's not around. A trusting couple can achieve miracles.

They are only controlling when they are allowed to be. If you are being controlled you need to take a real long look at what you are getting from the relationship and decide if that's what you want.

not all are controlling, maybe the ones you know are and that is most likely your own doing. i have never been a controlling person in my relationships and many people i know are not either. i know they are out there but guys in general are not all controlling.

They are so controling because, they like to feel powerful and they think it makes them feel more like a man, and they think there supose to. But most women like powerful men. Controlling but not to controlling over everything.

Because some girls like that...the same reason why some guys think girls are controlling...i think it just depends on the relationship because some guys like that security...that or they are doing something wrong and are scared their girlfriend might do it back...ie cheating....or they are just get jealous very easily...
