Each person has a choice to choose "harmony" or "disharmony".

The philosophy of free will is that with free will, we can have a relationship with God where the love is felt unconditionally. Imagine if you had created a woman of your liking WITHOUT free will. You could command her to come kiss you and she would instantly. But, there would be no passion behind the kiss, for her will would've been imposed upon by your desire to be kissed. Give her free will and she can decide with LOVE in her heart to kiss you and there will be MUTUAL passions felt.

Here is just a little of what the Catechism of the Catholic Church says on free will - God Bless you!

1704 The human person participates in the light and power of the divine Spirit. By his reason, he is capable of understanding the order of things established by the Creator. By free will, he is capable of directing himself toward his true good. He finds his perfection "in seeking and loving what is true and good."

1730 God created man a rational being, conferring on him the dignity of a person who can initiate and control his own actions. "God willed that man should be 'left in the hand of his own counsel,' so that he might of his own accord seek his Creator and freely attain his full and blessed perfection by cleaving to him."

Man is rational and therefore like God; he is created with free will and is master over his acts.

The right to do as one chooses, even if it may appear to be the wrong choice. To not have free will would stifle learning and growth and would mean wear under someones control and that would be un fair and unjust. No one wants to be a puppet of others

Apparently, god gave us this thing called free will, or the ability to choose our actions. The catch is that you suffer an eternity in hell if you make the wrong choices. Beginning to see the contradiction?

God created us in His image, meaning that we know right from wrong. He gave us a free will so He knows who loves Him. He could have made us perfect like we are going to be in heaven. In heaven we do not have desire to sin anymore and we have this perfect understanding. His offer is for everyone, but he gave us a choice. He did not make us mindless puppets, and I think that is great.

Free will means that human beings basically make their own choices in life. Supposedly God set us up, gave us the doctrine and rules to live by, and we make our own decisions. We can live by those rules or reject them. We have free will. God doesn't make us do the things we do. We decide. That's why we're supposedly accountable when we die.

not sure of the philosphy, but free will is your freedom to make your own choices. Every choice has a consequence and defines and shapes your life.

There is no philosophy involved in that idea.

God created us with a free will. I think it's marvelous. Imagine if we didn't have that. We'd be like puppets in someone's hands.
