No. But if you have any doubts, get the VIN off the vehicle you are interested in, and ask at the local police station. They can tell you if it's reported stolen.

Assume you're talking about a private sale? Ask to see the title, if they can't produce the title get the vehicle ID number and submit it to www.carfax.com

Call the local dnv or call the local police and give them the VIN# and they will tell. I have have done this before.
