Does the dose of acetaminophen effect the strength of the hydrocodone?

Not at all - actually the APAP (acetaminophen) is only in the medicine so it can be a schedule III drug instead of a schedule II drug, like Oxycontin and Percocet.

The best thing to do is get the lowest possible dose of APAP in your medicine so you don't overdose on Tylenol.

The combinations are irritating. Taking two different analgesics at once does give better pain relief than one, and it would be nice if they were separated so the proper daily dose (as opposed to single dose) of each could be maximized, but we have what we have, and it's close enough for most folks.
Also, one of the posters mentioned Percocet, as if it didn't contain acetaminophen. It does.

put it this way...
it 5 mg hydroco and 500 mg acetam...
its 99% acetaminophen

its a killer.
if you take enough to get high, the acetam will destroy your liver
kinda like huffing gasoline it will fry yo ***

but... one thing people dont realise is you can get 10/500
10 mg hydro/ 500 mg acetam pills...
these appear to be 500's but they have twice as much hydrocodone. and that doesnt matter cuz then it will be 98%
acetaminophen and acetam will destroy your liver AND kidneys if you take too much (not much)

its just another useless drug to kill addicts. like bad extasy cept vicodins r all bad.

schedual a drug that kill someone today.
and the vic to apap % does change some are 5/500 7.5/750 10/1000 and some are 7.5/500 10/500

i think narco has hydrocodone mixed with another drug like vics do cept its just a stunt for tylenol to get rich off your blood period.

No, the does of acetaminophen is contstant, no matter what the strength of the hydrocodone is.
