I'm emailing this girl back and forth on a dating site and I really like her so far. She's been sending me very long emails too so I think the feeling is mutual so far. My question is, what new questions should I ask her now? We've discussed our siblings, college, surgeries we've had. work, vacations, religion, where we lived in our lives, birth place, that kind of stuff.

Well the last email I sent when we were talking about surgeries we've had, she said she didn't have any others, and I briefly said I had one last summer of a circumcision. And then moved on with three more paragraphs on a different subject.

She was on last night (for a few minutes) and didn't reply. Do you think the circumcision thing turned her off? Or did she just not have time to reply last night? I know my last email it took me a day to reply from when she sent her email so I'll just wait. Maybe she was tired. We've been talking a lot so I can't imagine her just stopping just like that.

What do you think?

Uhm, Next time leave out the whole circumcision part.

That'd be like...Her including her latest visit to the gyne and her Pap smear.

I'd say she is probably a bit weirded out.

Wow well first off, I think you need to stop being so obsessive. Maybe shes just been busy or something has come up, freaking out over it is a major turn off. If youve already talked about all that stuff and both seem to like each other, suggest talking to her on the phone. Thats kind of a step further and will let you see if you can keep a conversation rolling. If not, move on and find someone else. If shes a mature adult, I doubt the circumcision bit threw her off. But if thats what did make her not reply, then she isn't worth it anyway.

I recently took a long hiatus from answering emails, like over a week, because I was out of town sporradically and when I read my email I didn't have time to reply to non-emergency ones.

It might have been better to discuss your penis with her in person instead of on email, but if surgery was the topic of coversation - strange topic though it is - she shouldn't be freaked out by an honest answer.

Why did you get circumcised as an adult? Did you recently convert to Judaism? If you met this girl on a Jewish dating site, she might not have realized you're a new convert. Otherwise she's probably just busy.

A general rule of thumb, though, I think, is not to talk about your genetalia until you've actually met the girl.

Face facts. If she was truly interested you and she WOULD HAVE MET ALREADY INSTEAD OF TRADING ENDLESS EMAILS.

Besides, just because a woman sends long emails doesn't necessarily mean she's particularly interested. She may just like talking about herself or may just like having someone to chit-chat with by email. On top of which, she may also now be wondering whether she even wants to continue the conversation any longer with a guy she's never met who out of the blue mentions something so private (it is permissable to skip over certain details at the beginning, you know).

And yeah, maybe she also has a life.

The circumcision remark probably caused her to pause and possibly balk at continuing talking to you that night. But it shouldn't be a deal-breaker (although that is an odd one for an adult male). She should be back answering you soon!

Yeah, circumcisions are a major turnoff for women. The chicks dig the uncut guys.

Maybe you should try e-mailing her again. Maybe she just hasn't had time to e-mail you yet. I can't see why a circumcision would be a factor at least it wasn't a vasectamy ;) she'll write. GL
