Yes, that is what I call undeniable proof if there ever was any!
Give me a break. A dozen or so people answer your question in a way you don't approve of and that's enough to make a sweeping generalization of all Christians?
I think it's undeniable proof that you're an idiot!

No, there is no proof or indication that "God believers" don't value being good in that question and answers. It would be rather hard to proof that as many of the christian principle are sound advice for getting along with everyone (not saying the whole is completely right...)

Its not about works is what they are trying to say. You can never be "good enough" to "earn" your way into heaven.
God has given us a free gift, and all we have to do is take it.
Of course, if someone values the gift they were given, and truley believes in the sacrifice that was made on thier behalf, then they will live their lives according to what the bible asks of us. (Take up your cross daily and follow Jesus).
We have guidelines we should follow, but its not required, because God knows no one is perfect enough to follow them to a "T".
We are called by God to LOVE eachother above all things.
1 Corinthians 13: 4 - 7 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

To say you don't trust "God believers" is like saying you don't trust blacks, Jews, Muslims or any other race or culture. There are many Christians that live with wonderful values just as there are many Muslims that do. I didn't read the posts you were talking about but please don't let the ramblings of a few people, even if they are serious but misguided, define your opinion of an entire people.

the completed component of religion is faith, believing in something that no you are able to nevertheless actually practice. while it comes all the way down to it, no person is conscious precisely how each little thing got here approximately, that's why faith began contained in the 1st place. in my view, i'm an atheist and believe you yet there is extremely no component in all this anger in the direction of people who in basic terms prefer to have self belief that there is extra to existence than in basic terms what we are able to work out. the only element of religion that I disapprove of is the remarkable wing worry-mongering that the church has been attempting to apply to enforce their rules on society. different than that, from what little i've got seen, faith seems to be a eye-catching component the component is that no person has each little thing discovered, and nevertheless some human beings have self belief a hundred% that god is authentic, that would not propose your ideals must be threatened.

Don't assume all who believe in God are Christian (or only seeking a way to Heaven). Some of us who believe in God also believe that doing so actually requires us to be a good person.

Only those who are perfect can have fellowship with God. God has provided that perfection through His Son Jesus Christ. Its for all people, but only some will accept it. I will put my faith in Jesus' righteousness rather than my own. This does not make me a better person than someone else, this makes me a believer in Jesus and trusting in His perfection. I hope this answers your question.

Dear Harsh Truth, Jesus Himself said in Matthew Ch. 19 V 17 Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: Now if my Lord said and I know in my heart that he did say it, then it is the truth! There are a lot of definitions for good such as something that is good, or goodness, virtue-There is much good to be found in people. The main truth is God is good and all good things come from God and all you have do to receive them is accept Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour.

Being good doesn't cut it in God's book, you would have to be perfect, and only Jesus has accomplished that.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"..."the wages of sin is death.."-Romans
We have all earned what we deserve, and eternity in Hell. But there is redemption through Jesus!
I value being a "good" person, but who gets to decide what's good? Use God's standard and you can't go wrong.
