aww that sounds really cute! tattoos actually are a way of branding someone to you, so I think it's a neat idea for you and your twin to get tattoos together. it's a really bonding experience. I think if you both want to, then you should definitely go for it. there's a bunch of tattoo sites that can tell you about all the things you might be scared of and like what parts on ur body hurts more than others when getting a tattoo.. things like that. I put a really cute site down below for you to browse though.

hope I've been of some help!

if you are preppy girl.. i recomend getting something at on yoru lower back... and they hurt less there.. I have lots of tattoos..
If you are someone who can pull of tattoos-- then get whatever. I have a moon on my foot. and A sun in between my shoulder blades.
But please take my advice when I tell you.. Get a tattoo somewhere it isnt' going to stretch.. so if you get pregnant.. so not on yrou belly! lol and something you can see yoruself having as an 80 year old woman. you need to choose wisely wit something you can stand having for the rest of yrou life.. there is no turnign back. For me the pain is well worth it.. but for others it's not..
When you go make sure you pick a clean uptight place.. and when you are sitting there in the chair make sure you see him unwrap the needles.. and make sure they aren't already just chilling there in the tattoo gun.. becuse then they probably aren't sanitary. you can get many diseases and virus. if you don't go somewhere that is using all sanitary needles..:) and usually there should be a bag wrapped around the tattoo gun..
just be careful.. and if you having second thoughts.. it's probably not best. but if you are getting scared.. it's just nervoud habit.. I have 5 and I sitll get nervous when I get more.. lol

I am thirty-seven and have two little girls. My body has two tattoos that I would now love to get rid of, but it will leave some scarring. I got them when I was your age. People change, their tastes change. You and your twin may not have alot in common now, but you will when you are older. You may regret your decision, even though a sun and moon is a cute idea, you will know the reason behind it. MY advise to my girls will be to wait until they are thirty to get a tattoo, but if they can't wait get something small, insignificant, and inconspicuous.

I say no. I got one at your age and regret it totally. If you are dead set about getting one then I highly recommend that it is placed somewhere discreet.
Mine is very beautiful but the placement is awful. It is on my left shoulder. Terrible if I ever want to wear something backless or my hair up. My wedding was the worst. The one day that everyone wears their hair up and I couldn't because my dress was off the shoulder.
I sometimes get the urge for something that would bond my husband and I but for sire it would be placed maybe low back hid just below a bikini bottom or the same idea in front. Just be sure you really think it through before you take the leap.

That's sweet...I am a twin too..I have a twin brother. I thought about getting a tattoo resembling our connection together, but....I don't like anything permanent, esp. on my body. Get the tattoo because that is what you really want....just remember you will always have it and where ever you get it your body type will change as you get older.

I got one when i turned 18 about a year and half ago.. But you need to decide for yourself if you want one.. don't get one because other people say you should.. that tattoo will never go away. Think hard before acting

I don't see why not but I think that anyone who gets a tattoo ends up regretting it at some stage or other. Having a twin is going to probably get on the nerves of the person you end up with and maybe it won't do the relationship much good to have a constant reminder of your twin tattooed to your skin.

I wouldn't do it. Why mess with your body aged 18, aren't you busy enough messing with your head?

I gave this answer to someone else as well and it's this: I wanted my tattoo for 2 years before I went ahead and got it. Give it time and see if you still want it in a year or two. If you wait and still want it, then get it, no harm. But if you get it now and realize in a year or whatever that you don't, you're stuck with it.

Its really up to you, since its your body and hers. Take your time and think about it, if July comes and you still really want the tattoo, get it. But you cannot force your sister to get one too.

Even if you don't get it on your birthday or even for another 2 years, never rush a tattoo.

Just as long as it means something to you and it is in a place where the years will be kind to it. You don't want something that you are going to regret later. I think that if it something that is shared between the both of you, then I don't see why not. Just take a look at the longterm because what may be cool today might not be in 10 years. Think about it.
