I leave one on - my network server. The others I hibernate. They aren't using much electricity at all. There are two schools of thought about this. Turning it on and off wears the circuit boards and moving parts. The parts expand and contract and that can cause circuit board to crack eventually. On the other hand, leaving them just turned on and in screesaver wastes electricity. Hibernate is a good compromise.

If a computer gets a lot of use throughout the day, I recommend leaving it on. Turning a computer on and off many times a day runs more of a risk of damaging the computer than leaving it on all the time. There is a little 'spike' of electricity when a switch is first turned on (which explains why light bulbs more often blow out when you first turn them on). Normally, this isn't enough to hurt your power supply, but if it happens a lot, it has more of a chance to do damage.
Still even if the computer is "left on", it should be shut off and turned back on regularly (say, once a day or two) to let any startup scans run and to refresh the volatile memory.

Computers take a lot of power to turn them on. I normally turn the computer off when I do not plan to use it for a long period of time. Often, I will turn it off at night and back on the next day. Don't turn your computer on and off several times during the day.
Also, complete virus scan and the sort are best run when you are not using your computer. Sometime during the night is a great time to do this. I often leave my computer on just so that the scans and updates can occur while I am away from my computer.

I leave it on, but put it in sleep (or power save )mode. I prefer not to shut down, because when a computer starts up, there is alot of heat generated on the components. Alot of heating and cooling means alot of expanding ond contraction....= wear.
If left on, it receives much less wear. It will likley never wearout in your lifetime....I prefer not to take the chance.

I leave mine on. I have done this for many years and it seems to continue to work fine. My CPU goes into the sleep mode.

Yes I leave it on. Guess I'm just lazy or I hate waiting for it to reboot.
