I feed eukanuba or royal canin . my dogs do very well on either and their coats are always shiny . My chi seems to prefer the eukanuba and my belgian malinos foster prefers the royal canin. He is going to be a rather large dog so i see. But he is a foster and will not be with me for very long . So I want him to look his best before going to his forever home . The foster agency got mad at me cause I am feeding him this . Oh well as long as I am buying it what do they care ? Well yes feed eukanuba if that is what your dog does well on . good luck and god bless.

I don't usually recommend Eukanuba. I love Nutro Natural Choice dog food. No by products (head, feet and intestines). They guarantee skin and coat, they guarantee digestibility - your dog will absorbe more nutrients and will have smaller stools. Your dog will also be fuller longer so you can feed less. The dog also has glucosamine and chondrotin in it, which lubricates the joints and prevents arthritis and dysplasia.
Look up the facts and other nutrients. www.nutroproducts.com.
Look on the back of your dog food - check for by products and corn. (Corn is very hard to digest). If the food has any of that - it's not a good dog food.
Oh.. and watch for the canned stuff. Once in a while as a treat is good but all the time isn't. It gets stuck in the teeth and rotts them away.
Good Luck

I have been feeding Iams products for 22 years. Eukanuba is there premium food. I have had very good luck with it. You didn't specify what breed of dog you have, the dog size and rate of maturity are factors to consider when selecting a food. Iams has a web site you can go to and they'll direct you to the correct food.
For the average household dog, Eukanuba is probably a higher quality then you need. I use it when my dogs are being shown or training with a high level of exercise.
All my puppies are sent home on Iams dog food.

I have been feeding Eukanuba for YEARS for my Newfies. They love it and do VERY well on it. My handler also feed it. It may not be what some people call the "best" food out there, and then you will get the wackos that will tell you not to buy it because PETA says the company does BAD things to animals......but I STILL feed it and will continue.
I tried MANY other foods like Royal Canin, Blue Buffalo, Eagle, Wellness, Innova.....all these my dogs did NOT tolerate well and just did not do well on.
There is NO PERFECT food for EVERY dog. Feed what you are comfortable with and what your dog does well on!!!! That should be the best guide!!!!
Now, see!! Below there is someone that LOVES Nutro. The WORST food I ever tried was Nutro, the Natural Choice. The dogs had loose stools, it was a kind of yellow color, they lost weight, the coat looked dry and dull.....I was NOT happy with it at all. I called Nutro and they refunded my money for the 2 bags I had left, but tried to tell me I didn't give it long enough. I felt threee months was enough.
I am sure some dogs do great on Nutro, but mine did not. That does not make it a bad food!!! It makes it a great food for those who do well on it.

YES! Eukanuba is the high end version of Iams, It is a very high quality food. As with any dog food you should make sure its the right variety for your pet, but as far as quality goes Eukanuba is great. Check with your vet if you are thinking of changing foods or if you have a new puppy you want to put on Eukanuba. Have a good day and good luck.

No Eukanuba and Iams both went bi product and commercially cheaper. I would recommend SolidGold, TimberWolf, or EaglePack. Not easy foods to find and can get pricey. Purina has really stepped it up w/ ProPlan and PurinaOne, which can both be bought at walmart.

Not as good as many others that you might buy. It's got a lot of fillers in it - here's more info:
