Your question asumes that a Person created it. While I agree that Jesus did, as God, create the universe, there are those who do not. Some people think it's all a long series of coincidences. Too bad they don't know anything about statistics. Creation is virtually impossible that way. And to say 'but we're here, so it must be so' is a statement of faith, and VERY poor logic to boot.. What's wrong with accepting the word of the One who did the job? We believe Walt Disney created Disneyland, yet we refuse to accept that an Eternal Creator could possibly exist. Go figure.

Please read Genesis 1 but also go and read John 1 READ THE WORD!!!!!!! In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The earth was empty, a formless mass cloaked in darkness. And the Spirit of God was hovering over its surface. Gen. 1: 1-2
In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God. He was in the begging with God. He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. John 1: 1-4

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
[54] Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, then He established Himself on the Throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His Command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds!
[55] Call on your Lord with humility and in private: for Allah loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds.

Do you mean the 'world' or the 'earth'? They are not necessarily the same things. It is not necessary to believe that anyone created the earth, however, the world was necessarily created by all the people, societies, governments, countries and groups that it is comprised of.

Genesis 1
1IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.(A)
2The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.
BE BLESED & REJOICE IN THE LORD!

why do you assume there was a "who" and that it was "created"? It shows you already have a closed mind on the subject when you limit possible answers by the way you framed your question.
