Hmmmm the best golf movie.... That's a tough one. I like Happy Gilmore and the Caddyshack movies. But as far as being close to real golf and still being entertaining I would have to go with Tin Cup starring Kevin Costner. It's funny, shows some real golf talent, and it addresses real issues about relationships and it is very fun to watch. It's one of the better Kevin Costner movies.

There are lots of great golf movies. For comedy, CaddyShack or Tin Cup are probably the best. But, I recently saw "The Greatest Game Every Played" about the amateur Francis Ouimet who beat the best pro player in the world in the early 1900s in the US Open. It's really a well done movie, full of history.....and enjoyable, too.

"Tin Cup" is a great golf movie and not too sappy like Caddy Shack and Happy Gilmore. Also "The Greatest Game Ever Played" was very good.

Tin Cup, without a doubt! Being a golfer, I can identify with Roy insisting he can make it over the water - even if it take 11 shots!
I've often felt like I was Roy on many a water hole! If you haven't seen this movie, rent this movie and grab a bag of popcorn. You'll love it!
