I think they are all very popular but for me Greece and Portugal come top. Corfu is beautiful, Crete is nice, but Portugal especially the Western Algarve is superb, I have a sister-in-law that lives there so have been a few times. Lots to see and lots to do and only a short flight.

It depends on what your looking for from your holiday. I stay away from the tourist places and discover more about the culture and the people.
Armed with a phrase book in Greece and not worried about making an idiot out of myself was the best way to get the locals to communicate they were crying at some of the things I said but more or less managed to talk to me.

For a holiday?? I would say Spain!! But just because it is the most popular doesn't make it the best!!

Spain.If you go to Spain hire a car and head inland to see a much different country scenery is beautiful and people very friendly
