I have owned 3 Boxers and I really couldn't imagine owning any other dog. They have been in my family for generations and each one has had unique qualities but their lovely temperament always remains the same - barmy, mad but soooo loveable. I recently lost a 10 year old (way too early) to a brain tumour and it was absolutely devastating for all the family. I have a girl who is just over a year old and she is the first I have owned 'on my own' since I moved out of home. She is an absolute darling and I really couldn't ask for a better Boxer - apart from her occasional wantan vandalism!

I don't really have a question as such but wondered if there was anyone out there who feels the same as me about Boxers and also if there were any good forums to swap stories, pics and experiences about?

I agree, I've never owned a Boxer though. I was raised owning German Sheppards and I now live in an apartment that does not allow pets. I have friends that breed Boxers and as soon as my lease is up, i'm moving to an apt. that allows pets and getting a Boxer!!!

Our female Boxer is great too. She is affectionate, bright and high spirited. Boxers are all around great dogs. We couldn't be happier with our choice. Ours is red with a black mask. She has a tiny spot above her nose that's white. Then white toe tips and a white heart on her chest. She is getting to be a big girl like her Dad was big. She is 9 months old and still growing, it is so much fun to watch the changes. Can you tell she has our hearts?

I don't know of any place to "meet" to talk about our love for Boxers but if there ever is one, my son-in-law should be the leader. He has a registered pair : Sassie and Max ...and they are as wonderful as he thinks they are. I am absolutely crazy about Sassie myself. She's up in my face, on my lap, HUGE THING that she is and Max is more the crawl-and-scoot-till-he-gets-there- guy. I had a Boston years and years ago...Gypsy Rose Lee...she was great!!

HI -
I have other dogs but feel the same way. I found forums and breeders notes through a link on www.akc.org.

Sometimes through pet companies like Petco.com you can find links too.

Sorry I can't help better! Sorry for your loss!
Good luck!

I've been owned by Boxers for over 40 years. I like to say I was raised by one. ;)
Try epettalk.com aka as boxertalk.
