I read that changing your diet is way more important to lose weight than excercise alone. It said that excercise helps a little , but mainly it is changing your diet (eating low calorie food) that will be what really helps you. Anybody know if this is true?

Changing your diet is number one on the road to weight loss but if you are carrying extra weight then exercise will definately help you burn it off quicker. A balance between the two would be the best way. Beware of fad diets though as many are dangerous and most result in what is known as yo-yoing (lose some weight then put on more than you lost). I suggest using what nature has supplied and get back to a natural sort of diet, lots of raw foods, veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds and grains, you don't have to give up the things you love but if you know that they aren't good then take in moderation. Also the addition of probiotics and digestive enzymes will help your body to more complete digestion of foods leading to a happier, healthier, slimmer you. The probiotics and enzymes have helped me lose over 45lbs this year. Good luck and good health.

Exercise like weight lifting will help put some muscle and shape to your body and aerobics is for losing weight and giving you some endurance. If you are going to just diet then you won't lose weight fast but combing with some walking will help and in the long run you will lose more weight. Walking does not burn as much calories as running but you will still burn them. try walking for a couple times a week or walk everyday and gradually work your way up to running.

I think you have the wrong idea, the diet control is a necessity, but you also should be doing exercise, whether it be walking or floor, or aerobics, etc they both come hand in hand with each other so yes diet is important, but so is everything else in order to loose weight. The best way is portion control, rather than cut out as you can still eat your favourite foods.

both are important. If you are looking to lose weight - diet and exercises go hand in hand.

If you are looking to get in better shape - walking is a wonderful low impact exercise that gives your heart a great workout. They say only 20 minutes 3 times a week is sufficient to keep your heart healthy - but that will not be enough if you want to lose weight as well.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Reducing your caloric intake will indeed effect weight loss. Adding exercise to your program however, will change your metabolic rate, this has two fold benefits. First, it will speed your weight loss, and then it will prevent the weight coming back on. Also, if you have alot of weight to lose, walking will tone the skin and it will not sag as much once the fat under it is gone. Lots of benefits to walking, and it's well worth adding to your regimen.

I think you will need to combine exercise with diet to achieve good weight loss. Take it easy to start and build up. Aerobic walking is as good for you as jogging and easier on your knees.

losing weight has nothing to do with dieting.......its more to do with eating a healthy balanced diet.

doing so will often help your metabolism to increase, thus you will burn off fats better during excercise and any water retention will subside giving you a much better physique!

i was 18 stone and lost 4 stone after cycling to work everyday and eating much healthier!!!!

words cannot express how much better i feel! yipppeeeeeeeee!

Changing your diet DEFINITELY will do the trick but to lose weight faster and keep it off exercise is key.
It builds muscle which helps burn calories faster and keeps your metabolism going, burning calories even when you're at rest.
