CAN you possibly control your feelings NOT to fall for someone you're NOT supposed to fall for?

Good question. The short answer is NO. You cannot control the feelings.. Feelings such as attraction are natural and biological - it's wired into our brains, and they happen without logical thinking or reason (you cannot rationalize away the feelings). However, you can control what you do with your feelings. For example.. you can either talk to this person or not talk. You can decide to go out with the person or not go out. You can decide to have sex with the person or not have sex. However, the degree of control requires emotional intelligence - how you control the emotions that are happening to you, and how you handle yourself in response.

My honest opinion is NO. It is very hard 2 control ur feelings it's like if it had a mind of its own. U can try but i don't know if u will succeed, Try 2 block it out by saying this is not the person i should have feelings 4 this is the person 4 me just 2 have fun with. Good Luck because i think it's very hard.

We always want what we can't have or what's bad for us. I sometimes don't think it's our feelins or emotions of Love or lust...it's the challange or the forbidden.
But to answer your question...yes...you can control your feelings...you just have to be strong. Keep yourself busy or start getting out more and meeting new people. I'm going to assume that this person is someone elses or someone bad. Keep your self respect and move on. Fight the feelings. If you have to ask this question - I think you already know the answer. Oh my dear, if that's the case with you, than you are in a big dilema.
In my opinion its imposible to tell and to reason with your heart, is just irationale.(heart)...
Many times i wished not to fall but, pointless.
No we can't control our feelings, but we can reason with the mind if the heart made a good or a bad decision....
I know that giving advices is easy, and im no diffrent from your topic, but... that's the way it is...C'est la vie...

Not that I know of. You brain and heart operate differently. The thoughts of your brain you can control, your heart you can't. You can't tell yourself who to fall in love with. Your heart just does it, even if it's a person totally wrong for you.

it is true having what you cant have usually is a big attractant, i dont think you can chocie who you fall for though. you might wanna believe you control it, but im pretty sure its not your conciusnis controling it, other wise the world would probly never have seen a divorce. i never once pick'd who i fell in love with. i just woke up one day and realized oh hell, no way, gahhh. lol.

i guess u can if u shut down Ur emotions , but if Ur attracted to someone i think it will be very hard . but the best thing is try not to think about that person and keep away from them if u feel that Ur not supposed to be with them , good luck

Its hard, but if you have the will you can do it. But then again love just happens its ironic. If the person is not right, then you probably will have enough will.

i can control my actions..that is...i wont express my feelings for him and stuffs..but feelings..that's a bit tough to control...However...if u try hard enough...there's nothing that u cant do!good luck:)
