Jesus was a Jew, and Jews were entrusted to keep God's word, but there were also good people from other religions, and Jesus came to unify all who seek God and love His word.
And yes, Jesus is God.

What has ''good men'' got to do with what religion people belong (ed) to? There have been ''good men'' in every religion-forever-and in all races and in all nationalities. There have always been more ''good men'' than ''bad men'', or the world would not have survived.--------we'd have killed each other off.

Islam and Judism. Maybe Buddhism was around. Paganism was most prevolent and includes a variety of religion.
