The knee-over-knee cross? I think it is comfortable. Why is it considered a woman thing?

I think half the time its a power thing. Men like to show that they are big (not just in the pants). By crossing the legs we make an illusion of being thinner than what we really are.

It can also be construed as a way of blocking off attention. Many women will sub consciously turn their bodies towards a man they are interested in while pointing there heels toward a man they dislike.

Men also usually have larger thighs which make it more difficult to cross that way. Ankle over knee is more comfortable and easier but it also takes a bit more room.

It's not comfortable for most men. We have more in that area... It feels like your trying to crush them. We do cross our legs (some of us), but it's ankle on top of knee.

Crossing your legs is a matter of comfort. Men, like women shouldn't sit with their legs spread wide, that's just inappropriate. Women should at least cross their legs at the ankles. I know men who do cross their legs and it just makes me wonder how they can do it without hurting their package.

I do cross my legs, but I am a strange guy. Most don't because it catches the testicles and hurts. Other don't because it is considered a womanly thing.
But a gentlemen does because it keeps the posture straight and makes you look interested in the events of the room.

A major reason is differences in musculature and in the angle at which the legs are attached to the pelvis. It's simply much harder and more uncomfortable for us guys to sit that way.

Once in awhile you'll encounter an adolescent-minded male who postulates that women sit that way so you can't look up their skirts and that for a guy to do it suggests he has issues regarding his own sexuality.

I consider it being gay and disrespectful to do that while you're talking to someone.
I can understand girls wearing shorts, skirts, and tight pants doing that but not guys. Besides, it's hard to cross my legs over, I'm not too flexible.

My legs are too fat to do it comfortably. An ankle over knee is all I care to do.

Men don't think it's manly. Plus they have men parts and the man parts probably feel squshed if they crossed there legs.

men don't do it cause they have "outdoor plumbing" and don't want to hurt it. and since the womans is "indoors" then there is no chance of it getting hurt by crossing ones legs.
