i want to lower my car to make it look better

You can take it to Mexico and leave it parked by the curb for 3 hours. when you come back it will be.

Well the mustang it's self cannot look better than it does off the line, but if you must lower it I will tell you that the 1997 model is not the one to do it to Because of two reasons. If you live in a place where they like to salt the road you will have a real hard time getting everything done without breaking bolts. Another reason is because most of the parts are older than 11 years old (they release them a year before) so you will probably be replacing a tranny and allot of major parts. But if you must lower it go to someone that knows what they are doing so you don't damage any more parts than you have to!!

You can buy shorter springs from companies like eibach. Depending on how much you drop it, you may end up needing a caster/camber kit to have your alignment done correctly. I have dropped a 65, 92, 95, and 02, not a terribly difficult job, just takes time

go to eibach.com or racerwalsh.com or 5.0mustangs and fast fords .com all have kits for lowering stangs. then get a bumpsteer kit to help fine adjust caster/camber/toe.

you can buy a lowering kit off the internet or buy adjustible coilover struts
