I'm skeptical, but have a very open mind. I believe it could be real. There are some documented cases where all scientific theories had been exhausted, and there were no medical explanations.

Yes there is such a thing. It is very real and do not let the "church" fool you into thinking otherwise. How can the "church" deny something that Jesus did and said we have the "power to cast out demons and heal the sick"? Maybe someone needs to read the ENTIRE New Testament before any other denials are made known.
Maybe the "church"(organized religion) denies the existance of this ministry because they do not understand the workings of the Devil. If they will believe that the Bible is the truth and the Word of God, then wouldn't it stand to reason they would want to know as much a possible about it?
I am a born-again believer and filled with the Holy Spirit and I know from personal experience that demonic possession is serious and very real. It is not something to be taken lightly at all.

What people considered "demonic possession" in past eras (and what some people still consider demonic possession these days) generally are the effects of mental, "somatizing," or neuropsychiatric illnesses, usually in the form of epilepsy or other kinds of seizures that are either caused by a physical illness or a deep-seated psychological problem or a combination of physical and mentall illness. The situation is often aggravated by enablers or group hysteria. However, exorcism or shamanic rescue on the person who believes themselves to be possessed is sometimes helpful or curative when the incident occurs in a specifically defined cultural setting. In civilized countries in which exorcism is performed among the yokels, sometimes things go horribly wrong and the "possessed" person ends up being killed or dying because of how they are being treated regarding their condition. Also, look up "spiritual emergency crisis" for info about how people freak out and may act as if "possessed."

The Anglican church??? where did the Anglican church come from? Catholicism does not advertise to the public matters of demonic posession, you can not get a priest to talk about the subject of 'demons' and they generally talk of faith being the key to living a good demon free life - thats the most you will get from them on the subject. to me it was an acknowledgement that there were demons and theres limited credible reading on the subject so im with you there on wanting to know more. My opinion is that demons exist, demons are smart, cunning and keniving, they avoid detection and prey on vulnerabilities that mankind display - wants and needs of the flesh, money etc.

Yes. Demonic possession is quite real but is generally not quite like you see portrayed in the movies either. I think it is a ministry of the church as a whole to bring deliverance to the captives, i am not so sure about those who claim to be experts in that field. Those who deny the possibility are already under strong delusion.

Yes, it is. Matthew 17:18 says :"And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour." As fas as ministry of deliverance, I haven't heard of them. There are many references to demons and being possessed by them in the bible. Also, how the people were delivered from them. It is still true that exorcisms work, but I am not always believing those who claim they perform them regularly.

Well in the Catholic Church we believe possesion is real but is not common. We have seen in the Gospels time and time again where people were healed from possession. St.Padre Pio was to have been possesed at times. Look him up. The devil exists and we must be attentive to temptation but we must not fear the devil because Jesus is by our side.

There is no such thing as demonic possession. It is a host of different mental problems stressed and compounded by constantly telling a person they are possed. it's not real, it's all in your and the person(s) doing the "deliverance" head.

Every sin/addiction is controlled or "ruled" by a demon. Possession is real and demons do exist.

I've heard from this one youth leader at my church that demons possess drug addicts. Pretty incredible, I thought, but you never know.
