They need to do this every day and all over this nation,until the illegal aliens understand that what they do is illegal and will not be tolerated by the US.But until and ONLY after the borders are made secure .This right now is like a band-aid on a blood-gushing wound.Until the flow of illegals is stopped it means nothing.
Our open door, sieve like borders are an open invitation to theses people .WE must secure our borders and then begin the raids and sweeps in full force.
Sure it makes a tiny dent in the tank of illegality but we MUST SECURE the borders.ASAP

They also have targeted a little over 3000 illegals that are all ready in prison (for deportation) when they are finished serving their sentences.

The people target in that raid were already convicted of crimes,failure to appear at their deportation hearing etc.They were not "innocent" people to begin with.

The raids in LA, and the past ones at the meat plants, are a good start!

If we are going to catch and deport folks, let it be the ones who have done something other than JUST be here illegally!

The theft of Social Security numbers, evidence of past crimes and deportation orders and similar offenses are an excellent group to start on for deportation!

If I have a choice between deporting someone who doesn't have a social security number but is working for cash in Landscaping or whatever (ie "not" hurting anyone and just trying to make a living), versus a child molester or identity thief, I am sure going to choose the latter!

So, if you are here illegally, let the ONLY thing you do illegally here BE that you are here illegally.

Do NOT drive without a license or insurance, do NOT steal someone Social Security number, live below the radar, don't use any federal aid. I find that perfectly acceptable.. you hurt no one, take advantage of no one.

AS soon as you drive without a license, without insurance, steal a Social, do ANYTHING illegal.. well, at that point, I want you fingerprinted and put in jail until you are permanently deported, with hard labor in a labor camp to pay for your NEXT deportation if you EVER come back illegally.

So yes, the Raids have focused on the worst of the illegals, and should continue until every person in violation of deportation order, identity theft or any other crime is permanently removed. AT that time, the relatively law abiding segment of the illegal immigrant population has a reasonable chance of getting amnesty and/or a work program.

It's a small step toward the whole, but it does send a message that we will deport and are trying to get tough. And before anyone throws a pity party for these "poor souls," I read that at least 2 were child molesters and many others had other crimes under their belt. I know from reporting people to ICE on certain occasions that they will ask you what this person has done, besides an immigration crime, that is illegal. That's what ICE primarily deals with- criminal aliens. LA though......I'm shocked they didn't pick up more.

I read that there were over 13,000 arrests since June of last year, That is really a small percentage of the 9 to 10 million illegals that are supposedly in the country.

It's a good start. From what I hear there's an estimated 11 million illegals in the US.

450 down, 10,999,550 to go!

Lets see; I break law;
lets see; My rights are being broken?

One thing people do not understand; one thing straight;
Americans-have civil rights.
Illegals-do not have the same constitution priviliges that legal Americans do. Now anyone who supports lawbreakers should be arrested for treason..

My thoughts are keep up the good work;

Great! We have alot living here where I'm at. They drive me crazy! Can't stand they don't speak English, don't have jobs and yet I see them shopping at Walmart and having a good time with my tax dollars. Get them out of here I say. I have no problem with English speaking educated ones though, if they can be found.

All for show. ICE knows as well as most that there are millions more at slaughterhouses, maid services, yard workers and outside most Homedepots. This was publicity plain and simple. There are millions of illegals.

Give me a badge, a gun and four or five friends and I could find and arrest 10000 illegals. I guess something is better than nothing.

Excellent!!! Kinda disproves the pro-illegals argument that illegal aliens are "all hard working law abiding citizens". The way they are doing it is right. Start with the worst criminals first and work your way down the list from there.
