It is necessary medical care but personally I would only do it if I'm working full-time so I don't have a choice. Dentists here only work normal office hours so if you're working 5 days a week you couldn't go unless you took time off work! But if I worked part-time I wouldn't.

I worked at a company four days a week and my colleagues thought I was nuts for scheduling my dentist on my day off -I just thought it was good manners to do so, since I had this whole weekday every week I'd schedule anything I could then rather than ask for a day or even part of the day off... but I was the only one who did, others made sure to schedule it on their work days even if they only worked two or three days a week.

Sure if you have it use it, if they ask why did then tell them that just thinking about the dentist did make you sick. You are lucky to have sick days at your job. They probably include them in the sick days any way.....

Yes I use my sick time for dental appointments. I consider them medical care.

Absolutely, you should be able to use sick time for medical, dental, mental, and vision appointments. You could also use personal time as well.

Yes, I see that as OK. I used to be a hotel manager and I had a staff. I did not like it ever when there were gone. But that would be OK with me.

Sure, but don't whine when you actually get sick and don't have any sick time left!
