I've not been with my partner very long and he's armed forces so he'll be away on a training course over Valentines. I've never really bothered with it before, but all my girlfirends say I should make the effort. I can't go there to visit him cos he'll be on intense course and I'm working through the week. I'm stuck for ideas.
Has anyone got any ideas what I could do that is not over the top and too soppy?

my suggestion is send him an iou in his card and then you can pick a date for a valentines meal/date that suits you both. I did this when i was dating a man for sweden a few years ago because neither of us could take time off work to be together- he really liked it and was very happy when he turned up to cash it in ;-) x hope its not too soppy for you x

A card sprayed with the perfume that will remind him of u and possibly a Cd of songs u both love and laughed abt. Then tell him how mcuh u miss him but is proud of his chosen profession.

Make a mix tape/CD of songs which either remind u of him/the relationship...

I was living in France last Valentines Day and the guy I was seeing did that and it really made my day...

:-D

Buy a big card, so he will not forget you. Maybe he has a hobby that you could inspire him with, or just by him some chocs, why should they be just for women, my hubby eats more than I do, so they enjoy them just the same.

Sorry, I don't do the soppy stuff!

Find out what was number one when he was born and get him that CD. Thats my favourite thoughtful gift for folk.

send her a card and a rose.

theres not much you can do if you cant come down and see her.

write something sloppy and maybe propose to her in marriage in the card.
