The 8879 does not go to the IRS, it is retained by your ERO. If your ERO did not receive your completed 8879 they should not have transmitted your 05 taxes. If your 05 taxes were transmitted to the IRS, they will have no way of knowing whether or not your ERO has your 8879 unless they request it to be sent.
