Just typing this right now gets me shaking and nervous...
Yes, a few years ago...I was robbed at a shop where I worked. It somehow helps me cope better when I confront the fact this happened. I did see a doctor for about a year so that really helped too. It's tough but I'm thankful I was not seriously hurt in the robbery and that I had so much love and support from friends and family.
Don't let this disorder run your life. If you need help then go seek it. You deserve to empower yourself as much as possible.

i was a victim of property crime, which isn't quite the same as being a victim of a physical crime like rape or assault...
but yes, i went through a time for several months that was pretty difficult, psychologically....
good luck with that, if that's what you're dealing with...if necessary, get some help, it is worth it, life is too short to be always looking over your shoulder or finding shadows behind every tree

I have, and I did. Further explanation would make me uncomfortable. It took two years of therapy to get past the PTSD.

I have been harassed by both criminals and law enforcement. I am cynical and regard them as equal threats. There are lots of people out there who have committed minor crimes (talked about it here, too) and have gone into law enforcement.

Yes, sexual abuse. No therapy. Just a lot of anger. Still have it at times but toward sexual predators.
