Hmmm I want to say betting on Arazi to win the Kentucky Derby but I had a lot of company that day, so I'll say when I bet a trifecta singling a 40-1 shot on top. I left one horse off the ticket and yup, he nosed me out for 3rd, leaving me with a measly $2 win ticket. All my friends wanted to smack me when the trifecta came back paying $4,000.00.

The dumbest thing I do consistently is over bet horses I only I am lukewarm about and under bet those in whom I have a great deal of confidence...Barbaro was one example...we loved him coming into the Derby and thought that he was a lock for the race...I had $1,500 on him and at $14 + it worked out well but should have been able to buy a new car after that one.. Red Rocks was another I loved and $500 at $23 + bought a nice dinner and lots of wine...I'll leave those well known winners there and not embarrass myself with tales of the many who manage to finish up the track...good luck all....

the dumbest bet i made was putting $200 on the least favourite paying roughly 100 to 1. The horse was coming near last as it was heading into the straight. It made it's way out of the inside barrier, and raced on to win by a head. The reason why this bet was dum, is because I was dumb thinking that a horse like that had no chance of winning!!!! Ah, good times, good times!!!

At the Kentucky Derby back in 2000. We were actually there and I made a bet on the BIG race and actually won. But the lines were so long to cash it that I never did. I think it was minimal like $30 or something but the lines to get out of the infield were even longer so I opted to leave sooner then later. So basically I lost 2 times.

At the old Roosevelt Raceway. I was going to bet a 4/6/8 straight tri. I played a 2/6/8 instead. 4/6/8 paid $3,500.00

i can top that after a bout of session in the local pub one saturday afternoon me and a rather p i s s e d friend went in to the local bookies and decided to bet 50 pounds each on the first odds on favourite.figuring usually a 3 to 1 on horse comes home first. as the race progressed we realised it was vitual racing.a 66 to 1 shot came in. and yes i am a **** but i was a drunk **** so i feel that vindicates me so there.
