Essentially I'm asking which is the better brand Hunter or Hampton Bay. I've always bought hunter. They are a little bit more expensive though because they are hunter. Is there much of any difference between hunter and Hampton bay????

I've always had Hunter fans and been very satisfied with their performance. They are very quiet (when installed properly) and come in a wide variety of sizes, prices and styles.

Hampton Bay is the way to go! You get quality and cost effective ! They last for 5 to 10+ years and variety is endless !!! I had a Hunter and it burned up after about 16 months & I paid twice as much or more for it than Hampton Bay !!! Would never spend that kind of $$$ on a Hunter -- ever again !!!

I would go with Hampton Bay
I purchased a big 52" 5 blade with dimable light and seperate remote sensor for $80
I am more than pleased with it and would always recommend Hampton Bay over Hunter on value alone

Hampton Bay is owned by Home Depot- they make great self oiling ceiling fans, they really do make nice fans. I have the polished nickel with the reverseable fan blades, mahogany or black, with remote control speeds and lights. Very nice

Hunter is the way to go..Have used H.B> in apartments, because they are cheap and easy to replace WHEN they break down.
