They have just released a new version, you can get it free (just google it)

It updates itself every day you log on to your pc....it also includes email scanning software.

There is no BEST antivirus or what soever. It's all ur preference.
It's like comparing SONY and Panasonic TVs.
Norton Antivirus and McAfee ar both good, but that means you have to pay for the subscription.
Personally, I would recommend AVG. You can download the free version from www.download.com, as long as u have the internet connection, there is no difference in using AVG or Norton AntiVirus, because AVG also gets its updates and fixes through internet and its free users. And to protect ur computer from spywares, u can download AVG spyware version, too. Norton and McAfee both tend to slow down ur computer when installed, due to their feature known as sniffing out susupicious viruses, but that is actually useless, and AVG doesn't, thus it's faster to run it.

I have used Norton for many years but have discontinued using it and opted to use AVG Antivirus Free Edition 7.5.

I based my decision to change for two major reasons: Norton costs to much, and Norton (and McAfee also) are major hogs of system resources. AVG is FREE and uses few resources.

It automatically scans everyday, updates itself everyday, and will scan your incoming email for viruses. I recommend you give it a try.

You can find it at:

Hope this helps.
