sony cybershot problem?

i just bought a new sandisc memory stick. i get the error code c13 01 when i put it in the camera. it wont format. my old memory stick works fine. any solution? thanks camera model number DSC P43

This seems to be a common error on sony cameras. You will need to format the new card. The best way is in the camera from the menu options, but I can't remember if this can be done while it''s flashing the error code. Another way is to format the card using a card reader into the usb port of your PC

Have you brought a card that might be too big size (ie 2gb or 4gb)...

I brought a Sony DSC S600, and it takes a max card size of 2gb (pro duo)

And stick to Sony brand...

If the old memory stick works fine in your camera (make sure you have tried it after the new one hasn't worked in it) then the new memory stick must be faulty somehow. Take it back to the store you bought it from and tell them that the memory card reader on your camera can't read it.

alot of sony's won't read the sandisk stick.
get a sony stick and their will be no problem.
