That depends upon how you fill out your W4 as well as how much you earn,your filing status, and the number of dependents you can claim.

If you earn less than $8,450 (2006 rules as a single filer who is not a dependent of another tax payer) you have no tax liability so generally if you earned less than $162.50 per week no tax would need to be taken out.

Depends on how you file your W-4. The more allowances you file, the larger amount you have to earn for federal taxes to be taken out.

I believe if you earn a dollar and have filled out your W2 correctly, you will pay taxes on this.

However, when you use your W4, you can itemize or use the Quick Form and perhaps get back what the government has taken from you.
