Unfortunately, yes: most cheeses are between 25 and 30% fat! Eek!
I absolutely love cheese. I'm vegetarian so whenever I eat out or someone cooks for me there is always lots of cheese! I try to avoid eating too much of it at home so I don't put on weight!
When I do have it I get a strong flavoured one so that I don't need as much and either slice it thinly if it's going in a sandwich or only use small amouts to sprinkle on top of foods or put in the things I cook.
You can look out for low fat versions, but they are usually more expensive and tend to separate if you use tham in sauces etc.
Just try to treat cheese as a treat!
(Now say that really fast 50 times in a row...!)

Sorry it is fattening... i love it aswell....yum!
There are loads of different cheese out there for you to try. If you go through life stop eating the foods you love.... it will be boring! So eat the foods you like in moderation and you wil be fine.
Cottage Cheese is low in fat - not as tasty as the other options tho!

No. There are many cheeses with lower fat contents, e.g. Brie has a fat content 1/3 less than cheddar and fromage frais is 1/3 less than Brie. Unfortunately, because cheese is known to be high in fat, it tends to be one of the first things we cut out or cut down on, yet many people find that there is little change in their weight

It depends on the cheese and how much you eat.
Some cheeses have a higher fat content than others, but if you eat a balanced diet and get regular exercise you shouldn't worry about it.

Are you a mouse, like me? I love, love cheese. Yes, it is fattening so it's not recommended to eat daily. If you do, eat part skim mozzarella which has 6 grams of fat per 1 oz. serving. That's what I do to avoid getting fat.

Like mostly every other food, it can be fattening if you eat it too much of it. But it can be good for you, if you eat it in moderate amounts in part of a sensible, balanced diet.

it is very fattening, unfortunately...which is a real shame, coz I love it too! As a vegetarian, (my wife and 2 sons also), we eat quite a bit of it as it's full of good things too! but it does put the pounds on...

I love cheese as well, it is very fattening, but only if you swallow it.
Long live cheese, if it feels good, do it.
Everything in moderation.
