I'm sure it happens to lots of people. It generally works out that if you're told it's a girl, it's completely up in the air. If you're told it's a boy, there's usually pretty good indication that it really is a boy. But not always.

All of my ultrasounds were correct. I was about 19-20 wks with all 4 of the kids. I always packed 2 outifits for the baby, one for a boy one for a girl Just in case. We also had 2 names for each kid picked out :)
I dont actually KNOW anyone that had an incorrect ultrasound, though it can happen :)

I was 6 months when i found out i was going to have a boy.
I know of just one person where they told them they were having a girl and she went out and bought all girl stuff (clothes,etc.) and she had a boy and could not take any of it back.

we were told that our daughter was going to be a boy after they view the ultrasound, I was only one who felt she was a girl. Good thing we picked girls name in case i was right:)

at my uS(they couldn't tell) the tech said it was harder to say if it was a girl rather than to say if it was a boy(i guess their parts are more distinguished) so my mother in law was told she was having a girl and my partner is def a man!
