According to scripture, Satan is the "Ruler of this World" (John 12:31) Although Satan is limited to what God allows him to do... he most definitely seeks to influence non-believers who run Government and function in a variety of other areas here on earth.
In other words, he is at the gates, walls, and other places you've inquired about. He roams the Earth looking to deceive. The enemy...Satan...will also influence many in Churches and places where Christians gather. Many False Prophets!

The problem is we don't even own most of the gates any more.
Both sides of the Panama Canal (a gate Jimmy Carter gave away) has the presence of Communist Chinese.
Many other sea gates have similar situations.

Yes, it is know that there are Chinese spies in the US. Also, there tons of covert arrests against suspected terrorist all the time. Don't get me started about cyberwarfare. In 1999 Red Mafia hacked into the pentagon and stole high level files, mabey B2 plans, the investgation was called misty mountain.
