Why are they taught to sit like that, who teaches them to sit like that and at what age are they taught?

If you sit with your legs uncrossed its opend legs, that position is saved for sex. back when people had morals that was for married people only

Legs are a girls best friend,but sometimes best frieds must part.
This is taught as a child as the proper way to sit with a dress on is to cross ankles with knees touching.

I wasn't taught. Except when I was a little girl with a dress on and I was told to keep my legs together. Other than that, no formal training. It's just really comfortable. That's all.
