My mother bought me a Crock Pot for Christmas. My sister bought me one for Christmas of 2005. I was thinking about selling one of them. I have not used either one. What should I do?

Don't sell either of them! I have 2 and love both of them!!!

1 is larger than the other, so I use that one to make sauce, chili, and soup to freeze, the other one, is a normal size, so I make Chicken Cacciatore, Pulled Pork, roasts... in that one.

It's not uncommon for me to have both Crock pots going at once. I love them.

You can get stuffed cooked in the winter, freeze it, and pull out soups in the summer for a quick dinner - of if you're running late at work one night, just pull something home made from the freezer.

They are also great for parties. I've been known to make Chicken Cacciatore in the large crock pot, and have the rice staying warm in the other one.

Crock Pots are actually an amazingly convenient way for busy people and other bad cooks to make great, healthy (not T.V. dinner) meals. Just put some chicken, beef, beans, rice, and/or vegetables in a pot with the sauce you think would go best with them (use powdered sauce mixes and bottled sauces if you want to make it easy). Then let it sit on low all day while you're at work or school, and that evening you'll have a delicious, home cooked, whole foods meal that took only a few minutes of your personal time.

Crock pots are incredible!!!
I got one for Christmas too, from my sister. I love it!

Since you've got 2, I'd say sell one of them maybe, but do keep one and learn to use it, you'll be hapy that you did! There are tons of recipes online, or just adapt any recipe you have that requires a long time in the oven or simmering on the stove.

Just think about arriving home from work after a long day, and your whole house smells delicious and dinner is all ready to hit the table as soon as you are!

(My mother-in-law refers to my crock pot as the "electric grandma" since it spends the entire day slowly simmering and the food is always ready and waiting!)

Crock pots are awesome. I use mine a the time. You can make a whole meal in one pot. Get yourself a crock pot cookbook and you'll be surprised how easy it is. One thing I'm not sure of is they say you can prepare your meal and go to work but I've never left mine on when I wasn't home. No matter what they say I don't think that is safe. Happy Cooking!

You probably don't need 2, so I would keep the one you like best. I just used my crock pot yesterday. I always do chicken in it. Just throw in some chicken and some salsa and cook it on low for about 5 to 8 hours (depending on how thick the chicken is) and presto! you have salsa chicken that just falls apart. It's so yummy. You can also cook the chicken with spaghetti sauce. It's so easy!

I DO I DO! LOL and I'm not some ole granny! I use mine to cook roast for the most part. I pop a roast in the crock pot, put a packet of Lipton onion, and let it cook. Then about half way of cooking it, I add my veggies like fresh baby carrots and potatoes and some onions. It's so yummy!

Try using it. In this busy world you can throw some beef into the pot with onions and your favorite seasons turn it on low ,go to school, work, where ever, and by eveing you will have some very tender meat that tastes like your very own private chef prepared it for you. Add some potatoes and carrots and you will have a meal fit for a queen. Enjoy!!!!

Crockpots are the best idea they've come up with since sliced bread for busy working people. They are the easiest shortcut to good food preparation known to man. Try it once and you'll never have to remind yourself that you have an easier way to make a healthy homecooked meal for your family or even if you live alone.
Keep the best one and sell the other, or use the older one and save the newest one as a spare.

Crock pots are awesome, especially since it doesn't burn meat. It's excellent for when you know you wont be home in time to cook for your family. I say sell one and keep the other just in case you get the urge to use it :)
