a ham is already cooked or cured when you buy it

did you buy a smoked or cured ham or a fresh ham? a fresh ham is not pre-cooked. most hams are cured or smoked and only need to be heated through. next time try covering with foil and heat in a 325 oven for just 1 hour. allow the ham to rest for 15 minutes before slicing. as far as the tapeworm goes if you have been eating like crazy without feeling full then call the doctor.

You did the exact opposite, you over cooked it.

You don't even have to cook it. Ham, is precooked. Most pork products in the US are.

When you buy a ham, it is already cooked for you, you probably over cooked it.
