I work for a large company in a fairly quiet office environment on 1st floor , so when people run, it makes a big noise lol it seems to be the same girl, almost every day that runs passed my office like she's training to be a 100metre super spint champion! What could be so important that she feels she needs to run like this?

Anyone else have this kinda thing, and do you think it's a profession thing to do running like this? lol

Alternatively maybe u have people that sit near you and blow their snotty noses in a hanky as u try to eat your lunch?

Opinions please, best answer chosen as always:p

I don't think it's professional to run in the office.

I did, however, used to work in an office that was in a hospital. Whenever you heard someone running out in the hall it was always a cause for grim alarm because it meant there was a "code red" (patient is dying) somewhere on the floor and all the medical personnel were responding to it.

Maybe this gal you mention is trying to exercise? Perhaps you should suggest to her politely to take it outside.

The blowing the nose thing never really did bother me, as long as it was contained in a napkin/tissue and I didn't have to SEE it. I don't like it when people blow their nose and then open it in front of you to "check" it out.

I suggested that people in our office should run between the endless number of meetings so as to improve productivity (by having less inter-meeting time). Sadly this was taken up as a serious suggestion until someone pointed out to my boss after a while that I was joking.

she probably just wants to appear as though she's busy! If it happens around the same time everyday? If it does set up some fishing line across the hallway and sit back and wait.

Let people run, it's good for them, but the nose blowing thing is revolting. My father-in-law does it at every meal, it's disgusting, thank God he doesn't live with us!!!
